Depart home city to Genoa, the sixth-largest city, a seaport located in the northwest of Italy.

DAY2: Genova
Many large cities and metropolises in Italy are widely visited. In fact, lots of picturesque small villages and little towns have often been ignored. Special visits to these hidden gems and spots in Italy are totally worth exploring.  Afternoon city tour includes the La Lanterna, this old lighthouse as the symbol of the city, Old Port and Old Town. Finally, we admire the San Lorenzo Cathedral for its Gothic portals and stunning marble decorations.( D )

 DAY3:Genova ~ La Spezia(Cinque Terre) ~ Parma
Morning coach to Cinque Terre, a dream holiday resort for urban Italians. Riding on a train, all will pass through natural fishing villages with stopovers for all to enjoy the exhilarating air as well as breath-taking scenery where indigenous villagers reside. Enjoy a seafood pasta lunch and white wine in Manarola. On the way to Parma, we visit the Prosciutto ham mills with tasting included.( B/L/D )

DAY4:Parma ~ Modena (Vinegar) ~ Bolo na
Parma is one of Italy’s great art cities. Morning tour with many photo stops, first to the Landmark- Cathedral Square and the nearby Baptistery, then to Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Steccata and The Farnese considered as one of the largest Renaissance style theatres there.  The next stop at Modena to learn the process involved in making vinegar. Lunch is a typical Modena dish, pork with balsamic vinegar sauce. In the afternoon, we proceed to Bologna.  Tour starts from the Piazza Maggiore, the main square in this city. You will admire a beautiful fountain with Neptune’s statue. Then, passing the Town Hall Palazzo del Comunale and the Basilica of San Petronio, we stop at the Palazzo del Podesta to see the city’s symbol, Asinelli Tower and visit L’Archiginnasio where currently houses Municipal Library and a theatre.(B/L)

DAY5:Bologna ~ Chianti region ~ San Gimignano ~ Siena
Morning all will head for Chianti Region, Italy’s best well-known vineyards, where all will have the unique opportunity to enjoy famous grape wine served with cheese, dry aged meat and a variety of olive oil. Continue south to San Gimignano for a local lunch with Florentine steak and city orientation. It is a small walled medieval hill town, famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower house listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Coach to Siena, Italy’s loveliest medieval city with its central public square known as Piazza del Campo, famous for Palio horse race held twice a year. We can see the Town Hall, Palazzo Pubblico, for its structure outside being an example of Italian medieval architecture with Gothic influences. Few steps away are the Bell Tower, Torre del Mangia, fitted with a mechanical clock. Later visit the Duomo, a great Gothic cathedral with pretty impressive exterior. You might just enjoy the outside, where white and greenish-black marble in alternating stripes reflects the symbolic colors of Siena. (B/L/D)

DAY6:Siena ~ Assisi ~ Tivoli
Morning drive to Assisi, known as “Pink City,” to start a walking tour at the Bascilica of St. Francis, famous for its fresco painting depicting of the life of this much-loved saint, and to view the tomb of St. Francis.  Afterward, coach to Tivoli, known to tourists for its world-class numerous beautiful garden villas. Upon arrival, we make an inside visit to Villa d’Este for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance Garden and especially for its profusion of fountains, over 500 and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.(B/L/D)

DAY7:Tivoli ~ Pompei ~ Sorrento
Morning excursion to Pompei, an UNESCO Heritage site. It was an ancient Roman city being buried in the eruption of Mt Vesuvio in AD79. The city has been largely preserved due to lack of air and moisture. Later, coach to Sorrento, land of Orange and Lemon Groves for overnight.(B/L/D)

DAY8:Sorrento🚢Capri 🚢Sorrento ~ Potenza
Sorrento also famous for its coastal lines. This morning we boat to Capri Island and enjoy its lovely gardens, winding lanes, remarkable views , etc . Later afternoon, take jetfoil back to Sorrento and drive to Potenza for overnight.(B/D)

DAY9:Potenza ~ Matera ~ Alberobello
Coach to Matera where embraces one of the world’s most unique neighborhoods – the 9,000-year-old Sassi made up of ancient stone and cave dwellings. Visits to Sassi and Rupestrian Church are included.  After touring, proceed to Alberobello.  A brief tour is to explore the unique cone-shaped, stone trulli houses that are still lived in today.(B/L/D)

DAY10:Alberobello ~ Naples
Coach to Naples, Home of Pizza.  On arrival, there will be a city orientation. The Piazza del Plebiscito is a large public square that brought Naples into the unified Kingdom of Italy. The square is bounded two sides by the Royal Palace and the church of San Francesco di Paola, where photo stops will be made respectively. Then transfer to the Castel dell’ Ovo, for the best spot to admire beautiful views of the gulf of Naples. Lastly, arrive at The Naples Cathedral, the main church of Naples.(B/D)
