Day 1: Home City Taiyuan, China
Upon the arrival of Taiyuan. The local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel. (two times of transfer to the hotel will be arranged and the transfer time will be adjusted according to all the arrival flights (0800am-1100pm). Meals are not included today.

Day 2: Taiyuan – Datong
After breakfast, coach to Datong to visit the Yungang Grottoes. The Yungang Grottoes has survived more than 1500 years. It was one of the largest caves and was also known as China’s four grottoes art treasure. The grottoes stretch for a whole kilometer from east to west. Many of the carvings combine traditional Chinese art forms with foreign influences to create a unique style that occupies an important position in the history of Chinese art. Then, coach to the Nine-Dragon Screen, the largest screen of its type in China, which is 45.5 meters(150 feet) long,8 meters(26 feet) high and 2.02(6.6 feet) meters thick and consists of 426 pieces of glazed tiles. Day 3: Datong – Mt. Wutai
In the morning, coach to Hanging Temple, located at the foot of Mt. Hengshan. Surviving more than 1400 years, hanging temples that mix mechanics, aesthetics, and Buddhism are rare. After lunch, we will visit Mount Wutai. Legend says that a manjusri (Bodhisattva of wisdom) visited Mt. Wutai and decided to stay. In addition to its religious aspects, the beauty of rising and falling ridges of mountains, exotic rocks, crystalline waters and towering green forests also gives Mt. Wutai its reputation as a colorful and notable tourist resort. After, visit Xiantong Temple, one of the oldest and most prestigious temples in the mountain. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Mt. Wutai – Pingyao
After breakfast, coach to Pingyao to visit the Pingyao Ancient City. With over 2700 years of history, it is also an outstanding model of the Han nationality in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Due to the preservation of architecture built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the city was listed as a world cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. The ancient Ming and Qing streets are the best places to explore ancient Chinese culture. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Pingyao – Lingshi – Taiyuan
In the morning, coach to visit Wang’s Compound, built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The building extended over an area of 31,956 square meters (7.9 acres), four times the size of the Qiao Compound. The compound is the epitome of Oriental domestic architecture. (B/L)

Day 6: Taiyuan Home City
Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)
