Depart from USA for Istanbul, Turkey.

Hotel: On the flight

05/19 Arrive in Istanbul (IST)  /

Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport in Turkey, transfer to the hotel with out receptionist’s assistance.  The hotel check-in time is after 2pm.

Hotel: DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Esentepe or Pullman Istanbul or similar

05/20 Istanbul/Kayseri – Cappadocia  B,D 

After breakfast, visit the Sultan Ahmet Camii, which is definitely a must-see regardless of how much time you have in the city. Next, you will visit one of Istanbul’s most renowned structures, the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. Just down the road from the Blue Mosque is the Basilica Cistern, a “sunken palace” that lies beneath the surface of Istanbul’s streets. Lunch is on your arrangement today. Then, visit the Grand Bazaar. It is the historic center of shopping and commerce in the city. Fly to Kayseri and transfer Cappadocia upon arrival.

05/21 Cappadocia  B,L,D

This morning, you can take a hot-air balloon at your own expense, $360/pp. Cappadocia was selected as one of the top ten beautiful places on the earth by National Geographic magazine. It is one of the three most suitable places to take a hot air balloon on the earth. After breakfast, visit Goreme Open Air Museum, it is known as the knowledge and thought of Cappadocia, and one of the most special places with its monastery which lives for years. The story of the valley started in the 4th century AD, at the early Christian periods and was the center of the education and training system until the 13th Century. Afterwards, visit the Kaymakli Underground City. It is the biggest and deepest underground settlement in the Cappadocia region and carved from the soft volcanic stone that are connected with each other by narrow tunnels. Visitors may visit stalls, stables, stores, refectories, churches, wineries, kitchens and the other sections. The Fairy Chimneys are one of the most magical and unique landscapes in Cappadocia. Stone pillars of different shapes rose from the ground, with strange hats on their heads so that people think that the elves live in it. Next, go to the carpet shop with the unique local crafts. Later on, visit the Avanos Town which is famous for pottery.

05/22  Cappadocia-Konya  B,L,D

After breakfast, visit Uchisar Castle, its one of the best viewpoints in Cappadocia. The castle was opened by a 60-meter-high huge rock, which was hollowed out by the early settlers to build an interconnected fortress. In the beautiful Pigeon Valley, the rocks everywhere are covered with dense pigeon holes. The ancient trees above the valley are covered with the amulet “Blue Eyes” which is popular among Turks. Transfer to Konya and visit Mevlana Museum, located in KonyaTurkey, is the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a Persian Sufi mystic. It was also the dervish lodge (tekke) of the Mevlevi order, better known as the whirling dervishes.

05/23 Konya – Denizli  B,L,D

After breakfast, transfer to Denizli,and visit Pamukkale, the Turkish name refers to the surface of the shimmering, snow-white limestone, shaped over millennia by calcite-rich springs. Dripping slowly down the mountainside, mineral-rich waters collect in and cascade down the mineral terraces, into pools below. Legend has it that the formations are solidified cotton (the area’s principal crop) that giants left out to dry. Then, transfer to Hierapolis ruins. The name Hierapolis also means the sacred city, containing the Temple of Oktokonus set in a square area, the theatre with reliefs depicting the mythology of Apollo and Artemis, the Frontinus Street, the Agora, the ruins of Basilica and ect. Afterwards, have a stop at cotton textiles shop and transfer to hot spring hotel for a rest after the whole day trip.

05/24 Denizili-Kusadasi  B,L,D

After breakfast, transfer to Kusadasi and visit Ephesus.Ephesus, once, the trade centre of the ancient world, a religious centre of the early Christianity and today, it is an important tourism centre in Turkey. Afterwards, visit Sirince, on the road up you will see the remains of several Roman aqueducts as the village was an important water source for ancient Ephesus. It is well protected and a rare and attractive example of Ottoman Christian architecture. Next, have a stop at leather clothing shop.Then, check in hotel near Aegean.

05/25 Kusadasi-Izmir/Istanbul  B,L,D

After breakfast, transfer to Izmir Airport and take flight return to Istanbul. Then, you will do PCR test. A stay in Istanbul is not complete without a traditional and unforgettable boat excursion up the Bosphorus, the strait that separates Europe and Asia.

05/26 Leave Istanbul  B

Transfer to airport and fly back home.
