Daily Itinerary

Day1  Home City ✈ Milan·Italy

Depart from home city to Milan, Italy.


Day2  Milan (City Tour )

Arrived in Milan, the Fashion Center of Italy, start sightseeing tour includes the Duomo and La Scala Opera House and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. Shopping in Milan will be the highlight in the afternoon. After local dinner, transfer to hotel for rest.

Day3  Milan ~ Lake Garda ~ Bolzano ~ Ortisei

Stop over at the picturesque Lake Garda before heading to Ortisei.  From Lake Garda drive north and visit the museum in Bolzano to say hi to Otzi the Iceman, the 5,000 years old human mummy found in the ice in 1991.  Dinner at the hotel.

Day4  Ortisei ~ Dolomites ~ Cortina

Continue onto the magnificent mountains and the distinctive limestone peaks of the Dolomites.  Take a cable car up to the top of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm hiking area for a light hike.  Meander through the picturesque Alpine valleys of the Alta Badia region this afternoon. Overnight stay in Cortina. (B/D)

Day5  Cortina ~ Dolomites ~ Lake Bled

Explore the town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, home to the 1956 and upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics.  Take a cable car ride and ascend to the summit for a magnificent view of the Dolomites.  Descend to the middle of the mountain and you can enjoy your own lunch and amazing mountain view. Then head to Slovenia.  Overnight stay in Lake Bled area.

Day6  Lake Bled ~ Ljubljana

After breakfast, visit Lake Bled. It is a glacial lake in the Alps, the scenery is breathtaking and picturesque. Climb up to the Bled Castle, which has been on the hillside for more than a thousand years. Take a traditional Pletna boat to the island in the middle of the lake. Upon arrival, go up the stairs to the Assumption of the Mary Church and the bell tower next to it (additional fees apply). Lunch on your own. Later drive to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Upon arrival, stroll through the ancient city. Dinner at a local restaurant, a pork chop dinner with onion soup will be served.

Day7  Ljubljana ~ Postojna ~ Predjama Castle ~ Zagreb

Morning departure to visit the world-famous Postojna Caves. All will take an electric train into the caves to gaze at their stalagmites and stalactites, as well as their subterranean waters. What a natural wonder! After own lunch, photo stop at the Predjama Castle, the castle builds within a cave. The impregnable medieval marvel has been perched in the middle of a 123-metre-high cliff for more than 800 years. Afterward, proceed to Zagreb, Capital of Croatia, a charming medieval city of exceptional beauty.

Day8  Zagreb (City Tour) ~ Plitvice

After the buffet breakfast, head to the King Tomislav Square, the first Croatian Emperor. Pass by the Croatian National Theatre in Neo-Baroque style then arrive the city center. We will start a uphill walk to the ancient city hill.  Next to the parliament building is the distinctive St. Mark’s Church. Later pass through the stone gates built in the Middle Ages and visit the cathedral built in Gothic style. In the afternoon, drive to Plitvice. Enjoy dinner at hotel.

Day9  Plitvice Lakes National Park

Today full day of sightseeing the paradise-like Plitvice Lakes, a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. The mountains, waters and forests are integrated into one. It is as beautiful as a fairyland. The UNESCO has listed it as a “World Heritage Site” for protection. The entire national park is basically divided into two parts: the upper lake and the lower lake.  Walk along on the wooden walkways and visit as many upper lakes as you can at your own pace. Then take the shuttle bus to the lower lakes where the big waterfall is. Enjoy the day in Plitvice National Park.  Lunch at a local restaurant with grilled lamb.

Day10  Plitvice Lakes ~ Rovinj

Morning departs Plitvice. Stop by beautiful seaside city Opatija to enjoy your own lunch then explore this city on your own. Afterward head to the lovely Adriatic seaside town of Rovinj. Upon arrival, touring the old town area and walk through a tangle of cobbled streets to the hilltop church of St. Euphemia. From there you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Istrian peninsula as well as the nearby islands. Dinner at the hotel.

Day11  Rovinj ~ Motovun ~ Portoroz

Free leisure time in the morning. You can explore the art district, fruit market and all the wonderful shops around. Afternoons proceed to the charming hilltop town of Motovun, one of the prettiest hilltop towns in Croatia. Walk up the hill to reach the top, more historic area is an excellent way of exploring and getting a feel for this lovely Town. Then we will have a chance for truffle tasting in the region, including a truffle hunting in a forest. Overnight at Portoroz.

Day12  Portoroz ~ Venice

After breakfast, transfer to Venice. On board a water taxi to St. Mark’s Square, all will have a spectacular view of the Bridge of Signs that prisoners must pass through before they say goodbye to the world, the Basilica, etc., and will enjoy a demonstration in a glass blowing factory.

Day13  Venice ✈ Home City

End of wonderful journey, transfer to airport for a pleasant home ward flight.
